Rescue Dog Consults

When welcoming a new rescue dog into your home it can be quite daunting especially if you do not know the history behind your new family member. Sometimes these dogs have been mistreated but more often than not they were simply unwanted or the owners couldn't cope with unwanted behaviours.

Undesirable behaviours are not always apparent immediately, it can take time for a rescue to settle into its surroundings before it begins to behave "normally", sometimes the extra TLC they receive from their new, well meaning owners, can reinforce the wrong behaviours.

These consultations are to help you smooth the transition of a new rescue into your life, understand how to tackle issues that may typically arise and learn how not to inadvertently create new unwanted behaviours. We can also look at common problems such as toilet training, night time routines, feeding etc.
